SKILLSAFE EU will be at Chillventa 2026 in Nuremberg this October, bringing its work on skills, training and safety for the refrigerant transition to one of Europe’s key meeting points for the refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pump sector.
Taking place from 13 to 15 October 2026, Chillventa will bring together manufacturers, contractors, experts, associations and policymakers to discuss the technologies and challenges shaping the future of the RACHP sector.
For SKILLSAFE EU, the event represents an important opportunity to engage with the professionals directly involved in the transition towards alternative refrigerants and to share the project’s work on ensuring that this transition is supported by the right skills, training and safety practices.
Where to find SKILLSAFE EU
Visitors will have several opportunities to discover the project throughout Chillventa.
📍 EHPA stand – Hall 7A, Booth 407
SKILLSAFE EU materials will be available at the European Heat Pump Association (EHPA) stand throughout the exhibition. Visitors will be able to learn more about the project, its activities and its latest and upcoming results.
🤝 AREA booth – Hall 9, Stand 9-131
The project will also be represented at the booth of SKILLSAFE EU partner AREA, together with REAL Alternatives. This will provide another opportunity to exchange on training and certification and on how the RACHP workforce can be prepared for the growing use of alternative refrigerants across Europe.
Bringing SKILLSAFE EU into the policy and industry discussion
SKILLSAFE EU will also be part of the Chillventa CONGRESS, taking place on 12 October ahead of the exhibition.
EHPA Senior Policy Officer Marcin Krupski will participate in the panel discussion “The journey of the refrigerant transition and its related challenges” during the ASERCOM/EPEE Symposium “Technology meets policy: RACHP expertise driving Europe’s decarbonization.”
The discussion will provide an opportunity to bring the SKILLSAFE EU perspective into a wider exchange between policy and industry on the refrigerant transition and the practical challenges it creates for the sector.
📅 12 October 2026, 13:50–14:50 CEST
📍 Room St. Petersburg, NCC Ost, Level 2
New SKILLSAFE EU guidance coming soon
The participation at Chillventa also comes at an important moment for the project, as SKILLSAFE EU is preparing to release its second set of Guidelines: “Guidelines for safe handling of split heat pumps with A3 refrigerants in residential applications in Europe.”
The new Guidelines will contribute to the project’s objective of supporting professionals in adapting safely to the growing use of alternative refrigerants, translating the refrigerant transition into practical guidance for the sector.
