Guideline on Monobloc Heat Pumps

This guideline provides practical recommendations for the safe handling of R290 air-to-water monobloc heat pumps in residential applications. Developed within the SKILLSAFE EU project, it supports installers, manufacturers and other professionals in safely working with heat pumps using R290, a natural refrigerant with higher flammability.

The guideline covers the main stages of the heat pump lifecycle, providing practical information on installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair, transport and storage, and decommissioning, while supporting the development of the skills and safety practices needed for the growing use of natural refrigerants across Europe.
